Instead of contributing to the sugar craze my kids always seem get at their school’s Valentine’s Day exchanges, I’ve decided to make some personalized non candy treats for them to hand out.

Mini whoopee cushions can be found at party supply stores and even some dollar stores.

This photo tag was easy to make on on the free photo editing site www.picmonkey.com 

There you can add festive borders and text onto photos.

Here I attached mini lip shaped whistles to a photos of my daughter making her best “whistling face”.

It was very easy to add text and hearts her photo using the same editing site.

Some other creative and inexpensive non candy treats to consider:

• Mini Play-Dough containers
• Valentine’s Day erasers or pencils
• Stickers
• Cutie mandarin oranges
• Mini glow sticks

Have some fun and come up  with a clever saying that can be attached to your treat and it doesn’t have to include a photo. You and your little one can even grab some construction paper and hand write some cute notes together.
