Ready, Set, GO! The holidays are officially here and there is no looking back. Make no mistakes, this season is all about love and cheer, but who makes it all come together? MOM. From the Gingerbread House Decorating Party, Mom’s Gift Exchange, presents for the whole family, to early Christmas with friends and classmates. If that wasn’t enough, there is Christmas weekend. The non-cooks in my family do not understand the importance of my oven schedule.
Oven : 375 F
Apple Pie in at 2:00, out at 2:40.
Pumpkin Pie in at 2:40, out at 3:30.
Pecan Pie in at 3:30, out at 4:10… And that’s just dessert!
I was once asked if I had written out the schedule to teach my girls. (Now that’s a sweet way to put it!) I kindly replied that yes, I did have some well trained helpers. We all know who really needs the schedule.
This year I was thrown a bit of a curveball. Our family from out of town will be joining for the first time… ALL OF THEM. Double all proportions, prepare for house guests and start wrapping! I should be more stressed but this year, but Save Mart has me covered. They are focused on shoppers just like you and I… HOLIDAY HEROES. They have pledged to do all that is possible to keep us on the quick road to success with time saving tips, Aisle Angels, washed ingredients, and quick preparations so we can enjoy the holiday season.
In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I am thankful for all the help Save Mart Supermarket gives me daily, weekly and especially around the holidays. I am also thankful for all the new holiday recipes I learned this year. Visit our website, www.bringingithome.com for some delicious and easy holiday recipes.
