Over 25 Career Readiness Pathway Programs
to choose from across Fresno Unified

Preparing for college and/or a career is one of the smartest choices your teen can make in his or her high school career.

Fresno Unified’s Career Readiness Pathway Programs provide the preparation necessary for your teen to be career-ready upon graduation. We offer 25 Pathway Programs across the district. Students can participate in any pathway program they choose, no matter where their home school is located.

The pathway programs offered at Fresno Unified are diverse — there’s truly something for everyone. For the creative student who has a passion for the arts, we offer Fashion Design at Edison High, Video Production or Culinary Arts at Sunnyside, Multimedia at Bullard and Roosevelt, and ArtVenture at McLane.

Students who wish to make a positive change in their community can enroll in the Law and Social Justice pathway at Bullard, Education and Child Development at Duncan, or Public and Human Services at Sunnyside.

We offer a number of great medical programs that allow students to work in real medical facilities with real patients, learning the ins and outs of health care: Health Careers at Duncan, the Medical Education and Research Academy at McLane, the Health pathway at Roosevelt, and the Doctors Academy at Sunnyside.

If your teen has a head for business, is responsible with money, and good with numbers, he or she might be interested in the Business Pathways at Duncan or Bullard, Banking and Business at McLane, the IRS Academy at Roosevelt, or the Marketing Pathway at Fresno High.

Students who love to meet a challenge head on and are interested in the built world can enroll in the Construction, Engineering or Transportation Pathways at Duncan, Engineering and Design at Edison, Manufacturing Electronics at Fresno High, Architecture, Construction and Engineering (A.C.E.) at Hoover, or the Architecture or Construction pathway at Sunnyside.

Teens interested in learning more about our environment and its diminishing resources would be interested in Edison’s Green Energy pathway. Those with an interest in plants and animals might prefer the Agriculture pathway at Duncan.

As you can see, there are many possibilities and areas of study available to your teen in the Fresno Unified School District.
