Summer Staycation: Kiddie Pool & BBQ Montage

This year’s vacation was a staycation. It took the form of water sports, art appreciation, culinary delights, fine friends and exotic events. That we were in the backyard, neighbor’s house or just down the block? Even better.

Participated in extreme water sports

Got close and personal with exotic animals.

Tasted extraordinary culinary delights.

Met up with old friends.

Made a few new.

Climbed mountains.

Drank coffee.

Met celebrities.

Went camping.

Narrowly avoided calamity.

Summer reading list.

Spent the day at exotic spa.

Spent time at an exotic day spa.

Caught up on some Zzzzs.

Admired fine art.

Partied.

Met an amazing poet.

Entertained.

Listened to music.

Argued about best maker of coffee.

Purchased tourist trinkets.

Exercised with new trainer.

Tackled new adventures.

Drank more coffee.

Went to a show.

There was also some streaking, but those are private photos.

  1. We got to go out of town this summer, although we have done the staycation thing before. The most exciting for me was when the older kids and I got to tour USC, It was three hours long, but we loved every minute of it. It was a nice bonding experience.
