Does anyone out there make (or have made) their own baby food? My Avery is ready for cereal & fruits & veggies next. I keep getting articles about making your own food. Just wondering if anyone has info on cost, efficiency, ins & outs, dos & don'ts. Does any organization teach about this kind of thing??

I got a basic food puree gadget by babyco. You put the food in and it gets pressed upward while you turn the handle to puree. I did that for fruits, cooked vegies and meats. There is also a great cookbook called Top 100 Baby Purees by Annabel Karmel-easy recipes.
Wholesomebabyfood.com was my resource when it came to making my own baby food. Easy to follow recipes, great ideas on storage, tons of helpful hints. It’s definitely a money saver to make your own, you just need to be willing to devote a little time.
