Well I'm back among the living…or um, something like it?? Anyway, I had my precious daughter, Avery Renee, on 3/26/09…weighing in at 6lbs 9oz, 19 1/4 inches long. It's been 2 months & she's now 10lbs 8oz & 23 1/4 inches long! She's had some digestive issues so she's now on her 3rd formula (issues with breastfeeding so I had to stop, sadly enough). Of course, her formula is the most expensive on the market!! Hellooooo, about $28 per can every 3 1/2 days!! Have mercy! Still dealing with the gassy/fussiness though. Mylicon drops are in the mix but I have my issues with that, too. I've discovered that having a baby at 40 is quite challenging…I had a difficult pregnancy and the sleep deprivation does something different to you at this age as opposed to when you're 25!! Unfortunately, going through a divorce on top of it doesn't help matters. Also in the process of getting into a home with my now 4 kids & refurnishing that home since I gave most belongings away when I got married…hhhmmm, that's a whole other blog. But I can't wait to be in my own space & not living with my parents! UGH! I'm now back at work (today is my first day…I'm on a late lunch) and my brain is a bit fuzzy from having not used it for much over the last 2 months except thinking of diapers, formula and sleep! Good to be back..I love my job & co-workers. But I cried my eyes out in leaving Avery…she smiled so big at me, then I left…cried all the way to work! Crazy emotions. Anyone out there feeling my pain?? So much going on…so many major changes that can happen…and I'm experiencing them. It's overwhelming and I did suffer some post-partum. I've had a great support of friends & family though. We're getting through. I've missed being on here & reading all the wonderful things from you Central Valley Moms…looking forward to catching up! Advice, suggestions and prayer are welcome!!
